Our puzzle features a reproduction of a 1941 watercolor in the Museum’s collection by artist Adolf Dehn (American, 18951968). His watercolor Spring in Central Park is one of several bucolic views of the skyline and the park at different seasons. Looking south from Sheep Meadow toward midtown Manhattan, Dehn references the distinctive architecture of two large hotels along Central Park Souththe Hampshire House and the Essex House, while the Empire State Building rises in the distance. © 2010 The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
