Claude Monet (French, 1840–1926) was a key figure in the Impressionist movement that transformed French painting in the second half of the nineteenth century. Dedicated to painting en plein air, Monet created an extensive garden on his property at Giverny, including a water lily pond, which inspired a series of paintings in 1899; thereafter the subject dominated his art.

Featured in this set of magnets are reproductions of Claude Monet’s (French, 1840–1926) works in the Museum’s collection, including the iconic garden and lily pond at Giverny, seascapes and landscapes, bouquets of flowers, and more. Includes 9 magnets in a resealable plastic case. Epoxy surface.
